Dear TSBC members,
We hope everyone is continuing to stay safe and look after each other during this difficult time.
On a basketball front, Wyndham Basketball Association has provided a few important updates on the winter season.
While there is no confirmed date on the return of domestic basketball, Basketball Victoria has confirmed its 12 month license fee paid by players as
part of the new registration through PlayHQ will not start until we are given the okay to return to the court. Therefore, there is no disadvantage to those who have already registered.
As a result, for those who are in a financial position to do so, the WBA is encouraging junior domestic players to register now with your club, and pay JUST the annual Basketball Victoria license fee ($25).
Winter Registration Process:
Player registration for the upcoming season can be completed online by following the prompts via the below link.
https://www.playhq.com/register/8c3593ONLY the Basketball Victoria annual license fee ($25) needs to paid upon registration.
Basketball Victoria’s annual license fee covers:
1. Personal player/accident insurance
2. Affiliation with Basketball Victoria and Basketball Australia
3. Opportunity to participate in all Basketball Victoria sanctioned leagues, events and competitions (anywhere across the state)
4. Opportunity to participate in education, training, seminars, courses and clinics
5. Participation and eligibility for state team/development programs
6. Ability to manage their own basketball experience
TSBC will disclose our revised club fee payable once Wyndham Basketball Association has confirmed the duration of their winter season.
The original club fees were set at $170.00 but with a shortened season expected, TSBC’s club fees will be reduced in accordance with however many
games are scheduled.
Note: TSBC has flexible payment options including payment plans.
TSBC will provide a further update on our clubs fees and the payment options available once the season start date has been confirmed by the WBA.
If you have any questions on the above or anything that requires further clarification or discussion, please let me know.
Kind regards,
Terry Stokes
