WINTER SEASON UPDATE

14 Apr 2020 by Terry Stokes

Basketball Victoria update as follows:

Basketball Victoria has further updates relating to domestic basketball and representative leagues, programs and events including VJBL, Big V and Country Championships.

Due to Stage 3 restrictions and the extension of the State of Emergency (until 11 May) by the Victorian Government, the Autumn and Winter 2020 domestic basketball seasons are suspended until at least 31 May 2020. This date is being regularly reviewed and updated.

Our primary concern remains the health and wellbeing of the basketball community and the return of grass-roots basketball when it is deemed safe and appropriate. With these two principles in mind, both Big V and VJBL have been postponed until 31 May with the next update set for 11 May. As previously announced, the NBL1 2020 season is cancelled.

We hope to reschedule Country Championships, Under-14 Skills Days and Regional Academy where possible. At this stage they are postponed until 31 May with the next update set for 11 May.

We appreciate your patience and understanding during this difficult situation. For further information and regular updates please visit our COVID-19 page.

Regards,

TSBC Committee
